Founded in 1970, Glidewell Laboratories has become a leader in dental laboratory technology worldwide. Headquartered in Newport Beach, California, Glidewell provides custom-fabricated prosthetic and preventive appliance services to dentists nationwide. Essential to Glidewell's consistent growth is an in-house dental technology training center with a staff of 80, supported by an on-site staff dentist who advances technicians' clinical knowledge through chairside experience in placing restorations.

Another key factor in the lab's success is the 14-person Research, Testing and Development Department. This department verifies the quality of incoming ceramics and dental stones, and performs ongoing quality control tests on marginal fits and fracture strengths of all restorations.
